Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott
The Bournemouth Marriott Highcliff can be traced back to 1873, formally four large mansions on the West Cliff. It was never used for its intended purpose and was then turned into a giant hotel named Highcliff Mansions, attracting aristocratic patronages such as Earls and Countesses alike.
Located in St. Michaels Road on Bournemouth’s Westcliff, it is adjacent to the Bournemouth International Center (BIC) and positioned at the top of the Westcliff, enjoying some fantastic panoramic views of the South Coast of England. During the summer, the sun terrace and outdoor pool are relaxing retreats for guests. This hotel is rated as a 4-star hotel, with stylish accommodation, pillowtop bedding, and high-speed internet access.
Stroll down to the beach and along the golden sands. You’ll find highly regarded restaurants and attractions such as Bournemouth Pier, West Beach, Key West, Harry Ramsden’s, and the Oceanarium. Bournemouth gardens are a short walk away. In the winter, you can enjoy the enchanting Christmas illuminations, the German Market offering various cuisines, and the unusual Upside-down House at Pier Approach.
Bournemouth was a favourite seaside haunt of the Victorians, and today it’s still near the top of the list for Brits looking for a brilliant beach break in England (when the sun is shining). Its sweeping, soft-sand beach is the main draw, and the pier that slices down its centre offers a wonderful combination of classic seaside arcades and a modern adventure complex, complete with a zipline that lands on the sand and an indoor climbing centre.
