Basement Clearance

Basements are often used for storage, but over time they can become cluttered, disorganized and difficult to navigate. Clearing out a basement can be a daunting task, but with the right approach it can be done quickly and effectively.

What Do You Need?

Before starting, you’ll need to assemble some supplies. A broom and dustpan, garbage bags, boxes, and labels are essential. A vacuum or air compressor can be useful for getting rid of dust and dirt. Finally, make sure you have plenty of space to put items temporarily.

Sort and Organize

The first step to basement clearance is to sort and organize. Take everything out of the basement and sort it into piles: keep, donate, recycle and dispose. Label the boxes to make it easier to know where everything belongs. Once all of the items are sorted into piles, you can start to remove the unwanted items.

Take it Out

Now it’s time to start removing the unwanted items. Start with the donate pile and take those items to your local charity shop or donation centre. The recycle pile can be taken to a recycling centre. Finally, the dispose pile should be taken to your local dump or hazardous waste centre. As you remove the items, give your basement a thorough clean to ensure it’s completely clean and free from dirt and dust.
