Packing Furniture for a Child’s Room

Moving home and packing up a child’s bedroom can be a stressful experience. Here at Carlin Brown Removals we’ve developed a range of simple tips to help ease the burden of relocating furniture in a child’s room.

First, begin by taking photos of your child’s room before you start to pack. This way you’ll have a visual memory of how it looked and enable you to replicate the design in the new home. This step makes the transition to a new home much easier and provides a nice surprise when the new bedroom is complete.

When it comes to packing furniture, ensure that all drawers are emptied. Remove drawers if possible and wrap them separately as well as wrapping the furniture separately. This will help protect your furniture from any damage or scratches that could be caused by items packed inside. Make sure to also separate bulky pieces such as bed frames and mattresses, which can take up a lot of space and require a little extra care.

It’s also important to remember to label all the boxes. It’s helpful to have the boxes clearly labelled in relation to the room they will go in, such as ‘Children’s Bedroom’. Labelling boxes with the names of the furniture pieces is also helpful so you know exactly what’s inside each box.

Finally, don’t forget to pack the most important items last. Prioritize packing precious mementos, clothing, books, and other personal items that your child will need straight away in the new home.

At Carlin Brown Removals, we hope these tips help to make the transition to a new home a little easier. Good luck with the move!
